Yes indeed, Heisman Trophy winner, BCS National Champion, and Maxwell Award winner. Here at Overground we had the esteemed honor of being able to join in on the draft day festivities with members of Cam Newton's family and various close friends and acquaintances, as we celebrated him going number one in the NFL draft to the Carolina Panthers. Most notably in attendance, was Newton's grandmother Hattie Lou Newton who stated that her grandson's transition to the NFL meant "happiness." Her shouts of joy could be heard throughout the venue. As she spoke with the various members of the press one slogan remained, "number one!" Cam Newton, being a native son to the city of College Park, chose none other than Michon's to celebrate this life changing event. Joshua's Closet National Signing Day was a blast, we honor two young ladies Dewanna Byrd and Keiana Raven. Dewanna made known her choice to attend Georgia State University while Keiana made known her choice to attend Spelman College. Keiana also received two more Scholarship offers, one from the Nu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha and also The Carver High School Alumni Association. She and Dewanna both had already received a scholarship from Dynamic Achievement Solutions. And of course, Keiana was awarded the Bill Gates Milliennium Scholarship.

The C-Room Live Pre-Dove Award Party was "Infectious" The beautiful Morrow Center, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 was filled with praise, worship, celebrities, guest musicians, vocalist, vendors, family, food, drink and glamour.
