For Success To Feature Maceo
Brown |
|
Maceo
Brown, founder and CEO of System 5
Electronics,
will be in the spotlight at the Tour For Success Annnual
Luncheon. The tour, designed to address important issues that
relate to both mature and emerging businesses, is in its fifth
year in Atlanta, one of the 10 city
tour stops.
The
BRC recommended one of its most successful members to be
highlighted at the luncheon and selecting Brown was an easy
choice. As owner of the largest black-owned security company
in Georgia, Brown’s
clientele list includes 17 different homebuilders, including
but not limited to John Wieland Homes, JLW Homes and
Communities, and AHB Custom Home Builders.
He
also has contracts with all of the black-owned McDonald’s and
Wendy’s restaurants in the Atlanta area; Hank Aaron’s
Atlanta-area Krispy Kreme Donuts, Churches and Popeye’s
Chicken franchises; and a recent contract that was just signed
with ARA, the owner of 828 convenience stores and gas
stations. Additionally, he provides security and/or monitoring
services for more than 50 local churches and ministers’ homes.
Brown anticipates his annual sales for this year to be well
over $2 million.
Each
tour event consists of workshops, luncheon, business exhibits,
networking reception, as well as individual coaching sessions.
A unique aspect of each event is having a nationally
recognized businessperson share secrets of their success
through an interactive forum called “Success Stories” or
during the “Empowerment Luncheon.” Past speakers and honorees
have included Tavis Smiley, Earvin Magic Johnson, Russell
Simmons, Susan Taylor, B. Smith, Herman Russell, Carol H.
Williams, Allen Houston, Spike Lee, LL Cool J, and many
others.
